Question to Radhanath Swami : During meditation, the mind wanders here and there. What to do?
Radhanath Swami : Krishna explains in Gita, “From wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the self.”. The mind is a small child. The nature of small children is to get into trouble.
Question to Radhanath Swami : Is it possible to achieve social equality through bhakti?
Radhanath Swami : Certainly. Krishna tells in Gita that a bhakti yogi sees everyone with an equal vision.
“The humble sages, by virtue of true knowledge, see with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog and an outcaste.”
Young man asks Radhanath Swami : I heard you speak sometime ago that every action of human beings should be to help others, to benefit others. I was planning to start on a business of distributing French wine across the nation….After I heard you, I was a little confused whether this action of mine will help human beings. Will it help them?
Radhanath Swami : Can I ask you a question?
Young Man : yes please.
Question to Radhanath Swami : Swamiji, spirituality is all impractical. What if everybody became like you? Who will grow the food? Who will build the houses? Who will do the business? Who will protect the citizens?
Radhanath Swami : What if everyone in the world became an engineer like you?(audience laughs)
Question to Radhanath Swami: I want to know a rational solution. How can we rectify those people who are just misusing religion for political agenda?
Radhanath Swami : The greatest thing any of us can do, individually or collectively, is to educate people. There must be spiritual education based on universal and eternal religious principles. People must be educated by our words, and especially by our examples.
