Radhanath Swami Answers: My guru Srila Prabhupada said, “Philosophy without good character is practically useless.” The whole purpose of religion is to help us in transcending the arrogant ego.
Question to Radhanath Swami: Today’s youth is becoming indifferent to spiritual education. How will you appeal, as a Guru, this generation to be spiritual and yet be cool?
Radhanath Swami Answers: I see a tremendous potential among the youth of India to go seriously to the roots of their spirituality. But in our society religion is sometimes based on superstition and sentiment without a real scientific philosophical understanding.
Question to Radhanath Swami: Sometimes we go through a conflict between brain and heart. How to deal with it?
Answer by Radhanath Swami: We should harmonize our brain and heart with the word of God and with the will of lord. To understand the message of God is not easy. But by associating with people who are tuned in to understand the message of God and understand the Holy Scriptures….
Question to Radhanath Swami: Is inquiry taboo in spirituality? I mean, are we expected to be blind followers?
Radhanath Swami: Srila Prabhupada, our beloved Guru, did not want blind followers. He wanted independent thinking people who by their own free will were convinced of the substance of the scriptures through sincere and submissive inquiry. Srila Prabhupada welcomed questions….
