Question to Radhanath Swami: I read about something called God particle, consciousness and its relations to quantum physics but couldn’t understand much. Will science help me to understand God better?

 

Radhanath Swami Answers: Let’s take an example. Thoughts, we can’t see them, touch them, hear them, taste them or see them, yet they are so powerful. Depression is based on thoughts, elation is based on thoughts. Love, we can see the manifestation of it but we can’t see love; love is an emotion. Similarly, we can see the symptom of consciousness in the form of life.

Mercy Despite Impiety

Question to Radhanath Swami: In earlier eons, it is said, people were very pious; but in this age, despite much impiety, why God incarnates very mercifully as his holy names?

 

Answer by Radhanath Swami: People in this age have such inclination to quarrel, to fight, to be hypocritical; their attention span is so less. For this very reason, God has arranged that the same result one could get in earlier ages by spending ones entire life sitting in a secluded place, in focus, in total meditation, can be achieved simply by chanting Krishna’s names in this age.

Question to Radhanath Swami: How can we develop godly qualities which will help us to re-establish our relationship with God?

 

Radhanath Swami Answers: By developing gratitude we can re-connect with God. Gratitude is a divine virtue and it leads to developing other saintly qualities. Spirituality grows like a seed in the field of our heart.

Question to Radhanath Swami: If god is infinite and beyond our comprehension then how is it possible for us, limited beings, to understand him?

 

Radhanath Swami Answers: By material logic it is not possible for us to understand the unlimited God. It is like an attempt by a small clay vessel to hold the entire water of an ocean. However, by logic if we believe that the unlimited God doesn’t have the power to reveal himself to the limited human being, we are laying a limitation on the unlimited God…..

Question to Radhanath Swami: They say that we can use all our emotions for the service of Lord. How can fear be utilized?

 

Radhanath Swami : If our fears are spiritual then they can help us come closer to God. If you will pray to Radha and Krishna and express your fear that you may never forget them, then that is a spiritual fear.  The only fear a God conscious person should have is that he or she may forget God….

Question to Radhanath Swami: Since childhood I have always heard there is one God, but then why there so many religions?

Radhanath Swami: God appears in many varieties of wonderful ways just according to the need. So when some people say they do not understand why there are many different religions in this world. Why there is not just one? That would make things much simpler.
