Radhanath Swami : How did you learn to strengthen foundations in the field of engineering? You learn from authorized books and from authorized professors. In the same way there are holy scriptures and there are the holy teachers.
A professor does not simply give his own opinion. A professor is meant to actually teach you the science. So similarly that is what the guru is. A guru is not someone who displays magic shows. But guru is a person who simply repeats the great science of spirituality. Guru gives the process to uncover that great spiritual foundation that is already within us. Once that spiritual foundation is uncovered, it can uphold the integrity of our consciousness under all circumstances.
